Quinta da Calma - Almancil, Algarve, Portugal

Quinta da Calma is just outside Almancil, 10 minutes from the Ria Formosa Natural Park and the soft sandy beaches of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo. Vilamoura is less than a 15 minute drive away.

Directions to find Quinta da Calma

A (from West – Lisbon/Portimão): Take Exit 12 from the motorway for Quarteira / Vilamoura / Almancil. After about 750m, take the exit road on the right for Faro/Portimão, which leads to a roundabout on the EN125. Take the third exit off the roundabout in the direction of Almancil/Faro, staying in the left lane to Faro, and follow the Almancil bypass until it is joined by the road from Almancil just before the São Lourenço church & cemetery on the left. Slow down here, as you need to turn right immediately after the yard where they sell firewood and before the Sérgio Cristina car sales lot, up a narrow lane which will lead you up to Quinta da Calma. B (from East – Faro/Spain): Take exit 13 from the motorway for Faro Airport. Continue past Faro Stadium, then take the right-hand turning (uphill) which joins the EN125 towards Almancil. Stay on this road until it divides, just past the São Lourenço Church and cemetery, so follow the road up to the right, signposted for Almancil. Continue over the road bridge and after about 300m on the right, you will see a furniture store “Algarmoveis”; slow down here to turn left opposite this shop, which leads you along the back road to Quinta da Calma and which is signposted along the way.
